Happy 5/23, Spags!

Happy … what do we call this thing? Discordian day? I dunno. Happy 5/23. When people ask me why Discordians celebrate 5/23 I always come up blank. We just like those numbers, I guess?

By the way, I started a tumblr account. If you enjoy watching an endless procession of bizarre images, come check it out: http://cramulus.tumblr.com/

I say old chap, over here we celebrate the 23/5. Difference in date notation is, like correct spelling of particular words, of course, a manifestation of Chaos.

Why do we celebrate? Because we can! If we didn’t want to we wouldn’t.

I’m surprised nobody reported what this day is:

May 23 (70 Discord): Jake Day Jr. (DJ)/Day of the Elppin (MH)

somewhere in the Erisiana i learned that some of us call it “[Inter]National Fryday” and is best celebrated with hallucinogenics or entheogenics.

also, 23 and 5 are sacred numbers because of science, that’s why. (also there is some good BS in the PD about them, but too much reading of a holy book makes one a fundamentalist (just look at the cult of tolkein) and fundamentalist discordians are kind of a drag.

As i am in Thailand, the year here is recorded as 2555, so at least for now i’m claiming infallibility as a Pope and Supreme Episkopos of the Discordian Society.
